Zabina Bhasin, a loving mother and wife, is raising her two beautiful children in Los Angeles, California. With a deep sense of family responsibility, Zabina’s parenting focus is on cultural awareness across all generations. One can often find Zabina celebrating a cultural festival, theme decor, scrumptious foods, and a multiracial guest list.
This passion developed into a movement as Zabina witnessed other parents struggling to find the balance between traditional cultures and the western lifestyle.
As her children met new friends, they were exposed to different traditions. Zabina used this opportunity to educate others on cultural awareness a theory that we are more alike than different. Through the Culture Boxes, Zabina hopes to expose our youth to the plethora of traditions and global cultures.
A physician by profession, Zabina Bhasin, had a successful career as a Hospital Administrator for over 15 years. Once her children were born, Zabina’s need for cultural awareness strengthened and now, she dedicates her days to InKidZ and her Foundation, HappyHer, which focuses on providing support to women and children.
“Kids are the future and in this beautifully diverse world, they need to see how all cultures experience life uniquely. Why? Because it is not our differences that divide us. It is our inability to understand and celebrate the differences, that prevent us from bridging the gap between people and accepting all humans as they are — With the goal of truly
making the world a better place.”
