Inspired by the ancient Indian tradition of Raksha Bandhan, the Bond Box is the premier In KidZ product. It includes two hand-crafted Bond Bands that are versatile symbols of love and protection.
The Bond Bands are a thoughtfully curated means for people to integrate diverse values into their lifestyles; through the infinite power of the number three, the elegant expression of protection in the shade black, and the opulent energy of both, to spark a bond between all humans.
More than the product, this box also includes information about the Indian tradition, fun facts, keywords and the WHY behind this In KidZ product. In order to be respectful of all cultures, each box will be carefully curated with the help and knowledge of people from that specific culture, who are also featured on our blog. We encourage you to experience this box with your loved ones, while learning together and simultaneously bridging the gap between yourself and an unfamiliar culture. It may not be that simple, but it’s a start. Each box also includes an “In the Know” card which are made to be collected and kept together as a resource on the cultures we share with you.
An annual event, traditionally celebrated by people of Indian heritage. The word Raksha is the ancient Sanskrit term for ‘protection’ and Bandhan translates as ‘a bond’. When joined together, the words describe the bond of protection between people, and in this ritual, the bond is represented by a Rakhi or string of thread and completed with a sweet treat.
In KidZ believes that this ritual is a powerful tool for encouraging a bond between people of all cultural backgrounds.
Every In KidZ culture box is associated with a parent from that specific country/culture we are producing in a quarter. At In KidZ we are looking to make respectful, ethical and culturally appropriate boxes for the children of today. Working with a parent associated with the country/culture helps us understand and cultivate modern products for KidZ.
Connecting lives and building tribes is the mission of In KidZ! By teaching our children different cultures and traditions, along with schooling teaching them geographical and historical relevance of the country the next generation will be able to accept all individuals as they are.
We are cultivating one country, one culture and one tradition at a time to make sure we in the world are always bonded together.
