France is the largest country in Europe and a very popular destination for tourists from around the world. The French are proud of everything about their country including their heritage, their culture and their food.The French people love to speak their language and keep their traditions. France is an exciting and captivating place with a rich history and so much to learn.

It is a country that has over 65 million people with families that are both multiethnic and multicultural. Discovering more about its diverse culture, we may understand the world as a whole that much deeper. With all of the distinct French regions, there are countless opportunities to learn the various facets of French culture.

Each region has its own unique characteristics. This is evident in the language itself as French is, the most widely spoken language throughout the country. Though there are small pockets of regional dialects or languages. The accents also differ from region to region so a person from the north of France may have a different accent than a person from the south.

The French value family above all else. They cherish these close relationships and it’s an important part of their identity as well as having an abundance of cultural activities to enjoy with them. French cuisine is always a highlight to visitors and restaurants serve speciality dishes like snails, which are called ‘escargots‘ in French. It’s no secret that French cuisine and wine are held in high esteem throughout France and the world. Although the term “French cuisine” is generally used to embrace all foods from France, each region has its own specialties and styles, usually based on local ingredients.

Families come from all over the world to show their kids the magic that is in the French art galleries, castles and museums. The Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Arc de Triomphe and the Palace of Versailles are just a few of the main attractions where you can see French art, décor and culture. While Paris usually steals the spotlight of French tourism, there is much more to this beautiful country than the City of Light. From majestic castles in the Loire Valley to the crystal clear waters of the French Riviera, there is no shortage of magical vacation destinations in France for families.
